Taking into account the foundations of Asia Pro Eco, the project ECOSAN CAPACITY supports the objectives of the Asia Pro Eco II Program and the National Environmental Policy of India by:

• Enhancing and conserving environmental resources and reducing land and soil pollution, ground water, fresh water, and coastal resources;


• Reducing pollution by improving management of public wastewater and human waste;


• Improving environmental standards and management systems,


• Promoting environmental awareness through education and information in all sectors.


• Involving partnerships and stakeholders, and developing alternative models of public-private-non-governmental partnerships.
