With the aim of reaching interested individuals who will not be able to participate in the Face-to-Face workshops, two online learning modules of "ECOSAN Distance Training" will be carried out based on the material prepared for the in-person training and using the existing myNetWorks e-learning platform.

One ECOSAN distance training session will last 2 weeks, in which an estimated of 25-30 stakeholders will be trained. All the documents prepared will be stored in the online learning environment and will be accessible for all participants. Since all material may be distributed freely, it will be used for any other further activity.

One important advantage of the e-learning environment will be the networking capacity, as participants of any training sessions of myNetWork will be able to contact other participant irrespective of time and place. This can be used for exchange of knowledge and experience, finding partners, and discussing with experts. The networking facility will also be used to link experts located anywhere in India and other parts of the world with local participants.

Monitored discussions will play an important role in the learning process, as the online course will facilitate access to fora where discussions will be presented in a threaded, structured fashion. Here the participants will have the option to react on comments placed by the coach, statements of other participants, topics submitted by invited experts in a given field, responses by other learners.
